Cathy Mullins is a Blue Star and Gold Star Mother who, along with family, truly live service above self.
Her middle son, Brandon Scott Mullins made the ultimate sacrifice on August 25, 2011 in Kandahar, Afghanistan. Her oldest son, SSGT Shaun Erik Mullins, is currently on active duty stationed at Fort Drum, NY and her daughter Bethany and son-in-law, SGT Steven Randall, are stationed at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico. Cathy serves as the President of the Kentucky Department/Chapter of the American Gold Star Mothers.
Cathy holds a Masters Degree in Elementary Education from Western Kentucky University and is the director of Kindermusik at the Owensboro Symphony Academy and teaches beginning piano and voice. She often combines her love of music and education in her service to others and is an official National Anthem Singer for the Nashville Predators Hockey Team.
Cathy and her husband Tommy started an annual event called "Kentucky Remembers". This is the Signature Project of the SPC Brandon Scott Mullins Memorial Foundation that provides leadership scholarships at Apollo High School and the Owensboro Hockey League and also provides support to other veterans service organizations.
Cathy and her husband Tommy have three Army Brat grandchildren Fox, Alice, and Pierce.
